Hey Guys!!
Today I'm going to post a quick review of The Recruit. If you haven't heard of this series, I seriously reccomend you check it out as it is kick-ass, fast and so easy to get into you will have read about 3 of them per week. (I've kind of read six of them...whoops)
Synopsis:
The recruit follows protagonist James Adams and his sister Lauren. James comes home from school one day and finds out that his mother has died and both him and his sister have to go to a foster home. Little do they know they are being carefully monitored by one of the other kids there who works for a secret undercover branch for M15: Cherub. Cherub is and organisation that recruits kids as their agents, they train them to go undercover into real life crimes and missions in everyday life.
James and Lauren are both sent to the Cherub Campus, where James is told about this and agrees to become an agent for Cherub: if he passes recruitment training. The book mainly follows James and a bunch of other kids his age fighting through a gruelling 100 day training course, which tests James how strong he is physically, but emotionally as well.
Review:
This book was so enjoyable, I fell in love with the characters and the whole premise of Cherub itself very quickly. I love the fact that each book in the series focuses around one main "mission" it really pinpoints the story. There is so much action and thrills throughout the different books, and the missions get even more crazy, dangerous and thrilling throughout the series. The Recruit is an awesome start to an explosive (literally) series and it grabs you instantly and gets better with each page you read.
I hope that pick up this book soon, I feel as if it is not talked about enough!
Always comment me books that you love, I love being recommended things to read, and tell me what I should post next! I am always open to opinions!
Hope you are having a great day,
